Free routing: error loading components on a board

Postby DetrimentalScience » Thu Apr 10, 2014 8:46 pm

Hey there,

I am attempting to use this program but when I load the DSN file it only shows the board outline. None of the components. I have attached the DSN file. I am using DipTrace and a few test boards I built worked. This one does not though. I have attached the file. Thanks for your help!

Edit: Actually depending on which attempt i do. It either doesn't load at all or doesn't load components I have attached both.

Anyone? or is my question so stupid it doesn't warrant a response? Either way knowing which is which would help me at least

The problem is, that the router does understand only the layer types signal and power, but not the layer type mixed.
Instead of layer type mixed you can use the layer type signal and insert conduction areas.
Because Freerouting is now open source you can also debug your dsn-files yourself.
Just follow the instructions in the news forum to load the sources into the Netbeans IDE and use the debugger.
